Media Storage Cabinet

When it comes to use storing all of your CDs and your DVDs there is nothing really better than a media storage cabinet. These cabinets come in all different shapes and sizes and there are styles that will fit into just about any space that you have available. You can also find them made out of just about any type of wood. Depending on what type of wood you get, it is going to dramatically affect the pricing of your cabinet. If you're not into wood though and like the more contemporary stying of some of the colored composites, they make them to fit your style as well.

There are lots of different styles of media cabinets online and I am going to talk about a couple of my favorites. I'm not really into having all of my movies and cd collection being right out there in the open air, so I tend to favor the multimedia cabinets that have doors on them and close to hide what is in them. To me an elegant looking piece of furniture is much more appealing to the eye than is a bunch of movie cases being displayed. Others may disagree, but that is why they make different kinds.

I really like one model that I have found on Amazon that has a nice cherry finish. It comes in other finishes as well and is constructed out of  nice solid birchwood. It holds a little over 600 of your favorite movies and music cd's and has shelves that are adjustable. It truly is a nice looking piece of furniture and when it is full assembled has the dimensions of 23 1/4 inches wide by 13 inches deep by 40 inches high. It has two swing out doors which hold movies as well as internal storage space more than adequate to hold my collection. At a pricetag of 299 dollars, it is kind of pricey but real wood furniture is never inexpensive.

Another nice option they have available on Amazon is a beautiful oak window pane media storage cabinet. This unit, because of its glass doors, doesn't hold any media in the doors, so it only holds 330 CDs or 166 DVDs. It is very elegant looking though and would add a nice touch to any home. The measurements of this are 26 1/4 inches wide by 9 1/2 inches deep by 47 3/4 inches tall. It comes in $190 and is on sale right now regular $260. I think this would be a real bargain at this price.

There are many many more of these cabinets available obviously, but these two really caught my eye and the pricing on them is not really that bad. Be sure to take your time and shop around for the best deals when browsing online. Never ever simply buy the first one you see that you like as there could be one just like it on another website for half the price as what you see there. Be as smart shopper and you can save a bundle while shopping for your new media storage cabinet online.
